    Television (TV) as a mass medium of video content consumption, plays a pivotal role in empowering citizens with information, education and entertainment. It has witnessed tremendous growth over the past few years. As per a 2020 Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) report, TV viewership increased by 9 percent from 2019. Further, estimates suggest that total pay-TV subscriber base shall expand from 127mn in 2020 to 134mn by 2025, with the total industry revenue increasing to USD12.3bn by 2025 from USD8.9bn in 2020.     This research project, spread across 2 years, aims to study the status of ‘e-consumers’ while analysing the e-commerce space in India. Given the proliferation of smartphones and increasing internet access, it is critical to ascertain the importance of e-commerce, not only as a service but as a whole sector. The covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift to e-commerce by at least 5 years.   • Examining the Rationale Assumptions and Approach to Non-Personal Data Sharing

    Globally, initiatives are being launched to explore frameworks, principles, codes, and mechanisms, for sharing non-personal data (NPD). India has also taken a step in this direction, and a committee of experts on NPD governance framework has recently released its report.
